Remote Area Medical Volunteers

Free Clinic Coming to Santa Rosa County

Remote Area Medical Clinic (“RAM”), a non-profit organization based out of Knoxville, Tennessee, which provides free medical care is coming to Milton High School in Santa Rosa County December 3 and December 4. RAM is internationally known, and is dedicated to providing medical care to those who have little access or no access to basic medical care. In 2015, RAM provided medical care to over 27,000 individuals, and over 10,000 humanitarians volunteered their time to help. With the rising cost of medical care combined with high insurance premiums many along the emerald coast cannot get the basic medical care they need.

RAM recognizes the importance of one’s need for basic medical care, and will provide patients with services such as dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, eye exams, eyeglass prescriptions, women’s health, and medical exams. The mobile clinic is open to anyone, no insurance or identification is required, and no preregistration is necessary. Services will be rendered on a first-come, first-served basis. Patients can begin lining up at midnight and entry numbers will be distributed at 3:00 a.m. both days. Entrance into the mobile clinic will promptly start at 6:00 a.m. and last until approximately 2:00 p.m. each day.

Volunteering alongside RAM, the attorneys of the Soloway Law Firm will also be there and will establish a “free legal clinic” in an effort to provide legal aid or advice to those who have legal questions or for those who don’t have access to a lawyer. Much like RAM, the Soloway Law Firm is dedicated to helping individuals with their legal issues.

Milton High School is located at 5445 Stewart Street, Milton, FL 32570. Remember, the mobile clinic’s services starts at 6:00 a.m. on December 3, 2016 and will end December 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Click here to download a free pamphlet by RAM that includes a map of Milton High School.
